NKNKh upgrades CMD&A system at the ethylene plant.
Nizhnekamskneftekhim (NKNKh part of the TAIF group), a leading Russian manufacturer of synthetic rubber and plastics and one of the largest petrochemical companies in Europe, planned to modernize the ethylene plant, Rupec reported citing the company's corporate publication.
According to the preliminary information the work should be completed in 2017.
Specifically, the project involves the modernization of the system of the monitoring and control of the workshop number 2107 of the ethylene plant, which produces commercial benzene and butadiene. The existing equipment was installed in 1967-1979, respectively, and is obsolete, according to the company.
In 2015 the reconstruction in the production of benzene is planned to be carried out, work on the hydrogenation unit is scheduled for 2016, and in 2017 – on the butadiene unit.
