Sibur intends to synchronize launch of gas chemical complex with start of the third stage of Amur gas processing plant

Sibur plans to synchronize the launch of the first stage of the Amur gas chemical complex with the start of the third stage of the Amur gas processing plant of Gazprom. This was stated to journalists by general director of the holding company, Dmitry Konov.

It is expected that the launch of the Amur gas chemical complex will be held not earlier than in 2022-2023, it will be updated with the study of the project, the final decision on which Sibur hasn’t yet accepted.

The "FEED of the Amur gas chemical complex may be adopted not earlier than in 2017, and its configuration will depend on agreements with Gazprom concerning guarantees of the sales volume of ethane from the Amur gas processing plant," - said Dmitry Konov, added that the formula of ethane purchase would depend on the value of the processed products and the fee to Gazprom for the alternative use of raw materials.
