GNS increases the production of ethylene and propylene.

Bashkir company "Gazprom neftekhim Salavat" (GNS), one of the largest Russian petrochemical producers, completed the scheduled overhaul at the "Monomer" plant. It was conducted under the technical re-equipment of ethylene and propylene production, the press-service informs.

Within the repairs period, which lasted thirty days, new reactors were mounted on acetylene hydrogenation unit in ethane-ethylene fraction in the workshop № 56. Currently three reactors are involved into the production, three others - are on standby. The reactor was loaded with new catalyst with high selective hydrogenation, which will generate additional ethylene from acetylene.
