Oil production in Sakhalin may increase 30% by 2020

According to the governor of Sakhalin O.Kozhemyako, there carried out geological exploration at 7 new offshore sites at present. If it succeeds, hydrocarbon resources in the region will increase significantly.

The regional authority expects oil production to increase by 30% and gas by 50% by 2020, according to the results of the geological exploration O.Kozhemyako said.
