South-Kirinsky deposit to be included in the list of assets for exchange with Shell – Gazprom

The South-Kirinsky deposit will be included in the list of assets for the exchange with Shell, Bloomberg reports referring to the deputy chairman of Gazprom, A. Medvedev.

Europe hasn’t applied sanctions on Sakhalin-3, he said.

The exchange of assets might be held after the amalgamation of Shell with BP Group.

The exchange of assets won’t be restricted by the Sakhalin-3 project. The assets in the deal are strategic and will be compared by their quality and importance.

In June 2015 Gazprom and Shell signed an agreement on strategic cooperation which presupposes ht development of the strategic partnership in all segments of the gas sector – from exploration and extraction to processing and marketing, including a possible exchange of shares.
