Bashneft refuses its sale to Khudainatov

But its top management doesn’t rule out possibility to sell the asset.

Representatives of Bashneft have denied the possibility of the oil company sale to the Independent oil and gas company.

A deal on the sale of Bashneft to the Independent oil and gas company (structure of Eduard Khudainatov, ex-the first vice president of Rosneft), announced by federal experts in summer of 2013, hasn’t been confirmed. According to the company’s press centre, the deal wasn’t started, so there are no reasons to talk about its conclusion.

“This is stuff and nonsense. The company’s president and our shareholders repeatedly denied this rumour. Possibly, it was spread by people, who have some dividends from such news,” – Bashneft’s press secretary, Sergei Berzemsky said.
