The Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria are looking for alternatives in case of exclusion of the Ukraine from the gas transit into the EU. On the eve in the Czech town of Slavkove (the former Austerlitz) they agreed on closer regional cooperation including the gas market.
"We are interested in the gas transit in the event that the Ukraine ceases to be a transit country. So I am pleased that we have agreed to the talks of experts, where we will combine our common European interests with individual, which, of course, each country in this area has", - the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico stated.
