Igor Shpurov: We can lose nearly 4 billion tons of oil in under-gas-cap zones, if there is no incentive.

In order to remove the stock from the under-gas-cap zone areas at Russian fields the government needed to take stimulus measures, CEO FBU "State Commission on Mineral Reserves" (SRC) Igor Shpurov stated in an interview with Oil and Gas Information Agency.

According to him, while working with hard-to-recover reserves it is fundamentally important to consider two types of stocks: stocks remaining in highly-developed fields (highly-depleted); oil rims and under-gas-cap zones.
