Minimum limit of dividends of state companies of Russia to be finally increased

​The Government will set a minimal limit of dividends of state companies in 2015 at the volume of 50% of profit. Rosimuschestvo said that the draft law has already been introduced for consideration of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Government started to discuss the issue of dividends increase of state companies in the oil and gas sector in early 2016. It hopes this will bring 280 bln rubles of additional income to the budget.

The Vice-PM A. Dvorkovich said that the influence of the dividend growth on the investment plans of the companies should be taken into account.

In December 2015 the Minister of Economic Development, A. Ulyukaev, admitted that the Government might decide on the change of the dividend policy of oil and gas companies with the Government participation. He spoke about the reduction of dividends of state companies lower than 25% of profit in case of the growth of tax burden at the enterprise.
