Leadership in the state Rosgeologia, which lays a claim to 15% of the Russian geologically exploration market, is being changed. The Manager of Norilsk Nickel Roman Panov may head Rosgeologia instead of the protégé, who is in charge of a project of the Ministry of Natural Resources Andrei Tretyakov. Panov is called “a creature” of the Norilsk Nickel’s ex-Head Vladimir Strzhalkovsky. According to the information of the Kommersant, Andrei Tretyakov wasn’t able to work well together with managements of enterprises that are parts of Rosgeologia. Roman Panov will have to complete creation of a company, which is considered senseless at the market.

An official in the parliament building told the Kommersant and a source in the Presidential Administration confirmed that the Director of the Norilsk Nickel’s Department of Foreign Industrial Assets Roman Panov might head Rosgeologia at the beginning of June. The candidate is “at the agreement stage”. Another interlocutor of the Kommersant affirms that “in principle, Panov is convenient to interested parties”. “Personnel changes have been brewing for a long time: there are too many questions to the current leadership,” – the Kommersant’s interlocutor noted.
