Glavgosexpertiza of Russia has approved the expansion of ESPO

​Glavgosexpertiza of Russia has issued a positive conclusion by the project of expansion of ESPO.

Glavgosexpertiza has completed the state expertise of the project documentation and results of engineering studies of the project of expansion of ESPO at the Tayshet-Skovorodino site. The experts came to the conclusion that the results meet the requirements of the technical regulations and other requirements, the results of engineering research works held for its preparation.

The ESPO pipeline goes from Tayshet in the Irkutsk region to the oil loading port Kozmino in the Nakhodka Bay connecting the deposits of the Western and Eastern Siberia with the markets of Asia and the USA. The goal of the project is to increase the throughput capacity and reconstruct the route oil pipelines by which oil is pumped from the Western Siberia for export to China and APR and oil refinery plants of Russia.
