Rosneft hasn’t yet managed to gain access to GTS at Sakhalin

Rosneft hasn’t managed to gain access to the gas transport infrastructure at Sakhalin for gas transportation to the projected LNG plant as yet, Gazprom rejected the request of Rosneft at this stage, the President of Rosneft said.

Gazprom doesn’t provide us the access at this stage. But in some cases Gazprom says its approaches are based on its own single gas transport system, at Sakhalin it says the Sakhalin pipe is not the element of the single gas transport system. Taking into account the fact Gazprom is not a purely natural monopoly dealing with the transportation, but a regular fixture in the market, it tries to find the best decisions and suggests to us selling it our gas, Mr. Sechin said.
