Steel production in the CIS countries is up by 1.9% in May

According to the World Steel Association’s statistics, the steel enterprises of the CIS countries increased steel production by 1.9% in May 2014 year-on-year.
The Metallurgists of Belarus produced 0.23 million tons of steel in May (-0.8% y-o-y), Kazakhstan – 0.31 million tons of steel (+12.6%), Moldova – 0.0045 million tons, Ukraine – 2.82 million tons (+2.2%), Uzbekistan (-0.2% y-o-y).
