Novatek sells out another 20% ofYamal

Novatek sold 20% in Yamal-LNG to CNPC. The amount of the transaction remains undisclosed, though, experts believe, it can make up about $1 billion. It is supposed, as the first line of the plant is constructed, China will purchase 3 million tons of LNG from Yamal-LNG every year. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNPC noted, “We are satisfied with the progress of our cooperation. The signed agreement is the important step towards development of the energy projects which will assist to provision of rapid-growing Chinese economy with pure energy resources”.
Almost 90% of Russian gas are extracted in Yamal.
