Japan is about to increase gas imports by 40% to 22 bln by 2020

Japan plans to increase gas import up to 22 billion cubic meters by 2020. Deputy General Manager, Procurement and Trading, Gas Resources Department, Tokyo Gas Y.Ohno said.

The volume of imported gas made up 16 billion cubic meters in 2012. They are about to increase purchases by 40%. It is caused by an increase of demand for gas of the industry and energy sectors, according to Y.Ohno.
