Azerbaijan to produce more gas from a Caspian deposit

​SOCAR will annually produce 29.2 mln cubic m and 5.5 thousand tons of condensate from a new well at the Gyuneshli deposit in the shallow part of the Caspian Sea.

The drilling of the well started recently. Its project depth is 4,000 m. In early 2017 the deposit is planned to be put into operation.

The customer is Azneft, contactor of drilling works – SOCAR-AQS Ltd.

SOCAR-AQS Ltd. was founded in 2007 by SOCAR and Absheron Drilling  as a JV rendering integrated services on drilling and maintenance of wells. Currently the company mainly drills wells from the fixed platform #11 in the shallow part of the Gyuneshli deposit as well as from the platform #1 at the Umid deposit.

The deep water part of the Gyuneshli deposit in the structure of the ACG block is developed by SOCAR along with foreign partners.
