Kazakhstan looks for alternative to Kashagan oil

As far as, oil extraction at the Kashagan field is postponed again, Kazakhstan tries to compensate lack of oil income from this field on account of new deposits development, senior research associate of Institute of Economics under the Kazakh Minister of Education and Science, Oleg Egorov thinks.

“Some hopes, for example, for the Kashagan, don’t come true. Last year we counted on oil from the Kashagan, a certain income from sale of its oil was included in the budget. But nothing came out of it,” – Egorov said to the Trend.
