J. Soros to help to reform Naftogas

​The plan of reforming of the energy sector which consists of 5 parts should be developed until June 12th, the deputy head of the Administration of the President, D. Shimkiev, said after the meeting of the National Council for reforming.

“We discussed the energy reform. It was represented by the Minister of Energy, Mr. Demchishin, and the head of Naftogas. The final results will be announced on June 12th”, he said.

According to Mr. Shimkiev, the issue of transparency of NAK Naftogas Ukrainy was discussed, in particular, the project realized with the help of the Soros Fund.

“This is the development of a certain plan of actions in 5 issues. These are tariffs and subsidies, energy efficiency, integration of the gas system, gas market and corporate management over Naftogas”. The first priorities and conceptions should be worked out by April 10th, intermediate results – by April 30th, he said.
