Total to invest into Russia via China

French Oil Corporation Total is about to invest about $15 billion into the Russian oil-and-gas sector. The company’ plans did not change. But they will have to invest into the Russian projects via China because of the US and EU sanctions, which makes direct investment into the Russian market difficult. The Wall Street Journal states. France is interested in the “Yamal-LNG” project. They do not plan to refuse from their plans to participate in the production of Arctic gas in Russia. They consider the difficulties temporary ones.
