In 2016, China can become world leader of oil import

In 2016, China can pass ahead of the United States and become the world leader in terms of oil imports, vice-president of the Chinese oil trading companies Unipec Zhong Fulyan said at the Russia-China Oil and Gas Forum 2016.
"In the first two months of this year the volume of crude oil import in our country exceeded 8 million barrels per day. We expect that by results of the year, the import will be 7.5 million barrels per day. We hope that over this time China will pass ahead of the USA and become the world leader in terms of the crude oil import,"- he said.
