Rosneft produces more and more gas and less oil

The largest oil company of the country Rosneft is becoming a little less oil company: in 2015, it reduced the liquid hydrocarbon production by 1%, while its competitors - Lukoil, Gazpromneft and Bashneft - showed the growth. The situation is improved by the increase in the Rosneft’s gas production. Experts note that the decline in the oil and gas condensate production was happened because of mature fields in Western Siberia.

Rosneft has reduced the production of oil and gas condensate in 2015 by 1% to 202 million tons, its production report informs. Key competitors of the state-owned company - Gazpromneft and Bashneft - on the contrary, showed the growth in the production by results of last year (by 6.7% to 55.7 million tons and by 11.9% to 19.9 million tons, respectively). Only Lukoil didn’t report the results of its production, but its vice-president Leonid Fedun said in late March that in 2015 the company increased its production by 3.5% to 100 million tons.
