Russia cancels discount on gas, which the Ukraine didn’t buy

From April 1, the price of Russian gas for the Ukraine will fully comply with the current contract between Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrainy in connection with the expiry of the discount on gas for the Ukrainian side. This was stated by the Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak, the press centre of the Russian Ministry of Energy reports.
According to him, in the first quarter of 2016, the amount of the discount was $17.77, and the final price of gas for the Ukraine was $212 per 1 thousand cubic meters. "From April 1 this year, the price of gas for the Ukraine will fully comply with the current contract between Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrainy," - said Novak.
