SOCAR to drill a new well at the Saadan deposit

SOCAR has started to drill a new well at the onshore Saadan deposit.
The depth of the well #1820 will be 1,300 m.
The works are held by the order of NGDU Siyazanneft.
The drilling will be held to the productive Maykop layer.
According to geologists, the well output will be 4 tons of oil a day.
The Saadan deposit is located in the Pricaspian-Gubinsky oil and gas bearing district.
Geological exploration in this area started in 1939 on the basis of detailed geological survey, industrial oil bearing of Maykop layers was discovered in 1942.
