In 2012, Rosneft invested 3.8 billion rubles to VNHC, Eastern Oil Chemical Company. They completed elaboration of the basic projects on the major technological devices for pyrolysis, production of polyethylene, polypropylene, linear alpha-olefines and monoethylene glycol. Within the bounds of the project, they are going to build an oil chemical complex with annul refining capacity of 3.4 million tons, nafta mostly. Annual capacity of the utilities for production of ethylene and polypropylene will be 2 million tons, not 1.4 million tons as it was announced before.
