Gazprom and Gazprombank to order development of Russian LNG technology
Gazprom and Gazprombank are going to order Cryogenmash (included in the group of Gazprombank) the development of Russian LNG technology, the deal must be approved by the company's shareholders at the annual meeting. This is stated in the materials to the meeting of shareholders. It is assumed that Cryogenmash will create the technology for five years, spending not more than 3.67 billion rubles. According to a source close to Cryogenmash it is planned to build a medium-flow gas liquefaction with capacity of 10 tons per hour (87 600 tons per year) for testing the technology of liquefaction on the mixed refrigerant. Gazprom’s representative didn’t respond to the request.
This technology is mainly used in the construction of medium and large-capacity LNG plants, explains a source of the Vedomosti close to Cryogenmash. Its basis is- twisted coils, manufactured in the US and Germany only. But it is not planned to attract foreign partners to the creation of the Russian technology, the interlocutor stresses.
