Oil products export from Primorsk port to grow to 15 mln tons in 2016

​The main direction of oil products supply by pipelines is Primorsk (the Leningrad region), Transneft reports referring to the deputy Vice-President-head of the department for transport and quality of oil products of the company, V. Nazarov.

According to him, the company actively develops this direction and will expand it in future simultaneously reducing the volumes of foreign ports and points of consumption.

It is necessary not to set administrative barriers but form such conditions so that it would be beneficial for Russian producers to go to the Russian ports, Nazarov said.

He said that the export of oil products by the route system to the port of Primorsk will grow to 15 mln tons in 2016, in the direction of the Vestpils port (Latvia) – will fall to 2 mln tons which will become almost a triple fall for the past 3 years.

In fact we see that this is the redirection of flows. It has sense – we have created attractive conditions for the Russian producers to go to the Russian port not introducing any restrictions by the access to the system of oil products pipelines, V. Nazarov said.
