New forecast on oil production in Yugra are much more moderate than the former

Within the period up to 2030, the Khanti-Mansi autonomous area (Yugra) will remain the Russia leading oil production region that’s why all forecasts about the region have are important for the common sector and the whole Russia. The evolution of these forecasts is important as well. That’s why before the analysis of the new strategy think it’s reasonable to study how successful was the former one.
Until  recent times, the official long-term forecast was the Strategy of the Social and Economic Development of Yugra up to 2020 agreed by the regional Government in November 2008, the Order # 491-rp. The times were hard, and the tendency was  for a decline in oil production outlined after many years of rapid growth in the region, and, moreover, economic recession burst out. Within the conditions of the full macroeconomy ambiguity the regional Government compiled 3 scenarios of the regional development, inert, energy and raw materials, and innovation.

RN-Yuganskneftegaz has extracted 2 billion tons of oil

RN-Yuganskneftegaz has extracted 2 billion tons of oil since the start of development. This result has been promoted by realization of the complex of geological and technical measures for maintenance of oil production within several years at a rate of over 65 million tons a year. The use of progressive methods for enlargement of the layer oil productivity gives to the enterprise an opportunity to enlarge production at the deposits with high grade of exhaustion. The enterprise began with discovery of the Ust-Balyk oil deposit in 1961 that was launched in 1964.

Shell has discovered gas in the first ‘shale’ well

The British and Dutch company Shell has completed the drilling of the first exploration well Belyayevskaya-400 at the Pavlovsko-Svetlovsky license gas site in the Kharkov region in the Ukraine, and confirmed the presence of gas reserves there. It was reported by the press-service of the Kharkov regional state administration that referred to the interview of the Deputy Chairman of the regional administration, Y. Sapronov. They have passed the projected 5,000 m, and have obtained a positive show of  gas. Mr. Sapronov hopes that by 2020 the Ukraine will succeed in the full provision of its internal gas needs of the citizens and industry, and to become a gas exporter in the future.

Kazakhstan has coordinated the project for the expanding of the Tengiz deposit costing $23 billion

The Kazakh authorities have coordinated the project for expanding of the Tengiz deposit costing $23 billion. It presupposes a growth in oil production from 26 million tons of oil to 38 million tons a year, the Deputy Chairman  of KMG, JSC K. Iskaziyev says.
The deposit was discovered in 1979. It is one of the world deepest and large oil deposits. In 1993, the Government of Kazakhstan and Chevron signed the agreement and founded Tengizchevroil LLC under its results.

By 2022, KMG is going to increase oil reserves by 1.7 times to 1.4 billion tons

By 2022, KMG is going to increase the volume of itts proven oil and gas condensate reserves by 1.7 times from 823 million tons to 1.4 billion tons, the Vice CEO of the company, K. Iskaziyev says. They are going to beat the target because of additional oil exploration at larger depths than they used to explore before. For example, KMG is going to drill exploration wells with depth of up to 5.5-8 km at the deposits of Uzen and Karamandybas, compared to 2 km before. A large hydrocarbons concentration is epected at the Trias and probably the Paleozoic beds.

Lukoil can leave NNK developing project in Venezuela

The largest Russian private oil company Lukoil is going to sell its 20% shareholding in the National Oil Consortium LLC (NNK) developing Hunin-6 project in Venezuela. Last week Lukoil warned about its  intent to its partners in the consortium, Rosneft and Gazprom Neft. It’s connected with optimization of its assets portfolio. The sources of Kommersant claim that Lukoil is dissatisfied with the role of the financial investor with large capital expenses and ambiguous prospects of compensation. Lukoil values its shareholding at $200 million.

In January – September, SOCAR declined oil exports via the port of Ceyhan by 4% to 14.9 million tons

The Marketing and Economy Operations Department of SOCAR reports that in January – September, it declined oil exports via the port of Ceyhan by 4% to 14.984 million tons, delivered via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan. Within the period, oil exports from Supsa declined by 4.6% to 2.08 million tons. Global price of BTC FOB Ceyhan is $114.86 per barrel at global market, and Urals price exported from Supsa is $110.92.
In 2012, SOCAR exported 20.2 million tons of oil (-12.1%) from Ceyhan, and over 2.742 million tons from Supsa.

In January – September, gas exports from Russia increased by 7.7% to 146 billion cubic m

In January – September, gas exports from Russia increased by 7.7% to 146.005 billion cubic m. In September, gas exports increased by 30.1 billion cubic m, including 5.633 billion cubic m of pipeline gas to far abroad, and 11.132 billion cubic m to close abroad including the Baltic states. In September, LNG exports were 1.131 billion cubic m.

In January – September, Russia increased production of oil, and gas , and decreased oil processing

In January – September, Russia increased the production of gas by 0.9% to 482.354 billion cubic m. Gazprom decreased gas production by 2.9% to 341.845 billion cubic m. In September, Gazprom extracted 37.845 billion cubic m, and 38.126 billion cubic m of consolidated production by ISA.
Novatek extracted 45.634 billion cubic m of consolidated production by ISA, including 4.859 billion cubic m in September.

Within the last 2 years, Lukoil has extracted 2.2 million tons at the Caspian Sea shelf

Within the last 2 years, Lukoil has extracted 2.2 million tons at the Korchagin deposit on the Caspian Sea shelf. The company continues its intensification of production, opens new wells, and continues drilling. Daily production is 4,000 tons of oil now, the representative of Lukoil Nizhnevolzhskneft, A. Khodayev says.
