Integra to provide the services of operational drilling at Yamal LNG until 2018

The Group of companies Integra has signed a long-term contract on the providing of services to Yamal LNG (which shareholders are Novatek and Total). Within this contract Integra will provide the services of operational drilling on the basis of daily rate at the South-Tambei deposit, located in Yamal, the company reports.

Novatek to attract at least 2 partners to Yamal LNG project

The largest independent gas producer Novatek is going to attract at least 2 partners to Yamal LNG project, the CFO M. Gateway says. The destiny of the project depends on the sales market and does not depend on the decision of the Russian Government about liberalization of LNG exports.  Novatek negotiates now about LNG supplies to Japan, and regard the APO market as the main priority. The current partner of Novatek in Yamal LNG project is Total.

Rosneft, Lukoil and Novatek have successfully passed through the selection for participation in the tender for Lebanon shelf

Three Russian companies Rosneft, Lukoil and Novatek have successfully passed through the pre-qualification selection process for participation in the first license round for geological exploration at the Lebanon shelf, the Minister of Energy of Lebanon J. Basil says.

Industrial gas production from Absheron will start in 2020

Industrial gas production from the Absheron offshore gas deposit will start in 2020, the President of Total Azerbaijan, C. Guticelli says. By 2014, Total will present to SOCAR the program of the deposit development. Within the first stage the company is going to annually extract 3-5 billion cubic m of gas. They will also perform the special work for the necessary infrastructure construction. Now Azerbaijan does not have a free semi-submersible drilling rig and that’s why no wells drilling is presupposed at the deposit.

FAS permits Total’s subsidiary to buy 50% in Gazpromneft-PMB

The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service has permitted the French Total’s subsidiary – Total East – to buy 50% in the authorized stock of Gazpromneft-PMB, FAS reports.
FAS considered and granted a corresponding request.

Gazprom and Total to sign a new agreement by Shtokman

Gazprom and Total will prepare a road map aimed at the signing of a new agreement on the realization of the Shtokman deposit’s development in the Barents Sea. The heads of 2 companies, A. Miller and C. de Margerie, agreed on Thursday.
On Thursday at the central office of Gazprom a working meeting of the chairman of Gazprom, A. Miller, and the head of Total SA, C. de Margerie, took place. The parties discussed the cooperation by the project at the Ipaty and Akio blocks in Bolivia. This week the Parliament of Bolivia approved the agreement according to which Total will give a part of its stake in the project to Gazprom.

Gazprom to receive 25% of Total’s share in Bolivian deposits - Ipati and Akio

French Total will transfer 25% of its participation share in the Bolivian deposits Ipati and Akio to Gazprom, the Bolivian Ministry of Energy reports.
Yesterday, the Bolivian legislators approved a draft that permits to transfer the Total’s share to the Gazprom’s subsidiary. Earlier, Total had 80% in the project.

NOVATEK negotiates LNG export and reckons on liberalization of the market

The negotiations of NOVATEK with the potential buyers of Yamal LNG are at “their advanced stage” – the basic conditions of the contracts can be signed in Q2. At the same time the independent gas producer reckons on a positive decision by the Russian authorities, i.e. the liberalization of LNG export.
On Monday the Chairman of NOVATEK, Leonid Mikhelson reported that the company was going to sign the agreements on the basic conditions of the contracts for LNG delivery from Yamal LNG project of NOVATEK (80%) and Total (20%).

Twenty ice-resistant platforms for oil extraction to be built in the Murmansk Region

It is planned to build 20 sea ice-resistant platforms for oil extraction and 50 ships for supplying these platforms in the Murmansk Region by 2020. The platforms can cost $20 billion and the ships – 1.5 billion more.


Gazprombank is expected to finance the project. Uralmash oil and gas equipment and Project Technologies company can participate in the building of the platforms. Singaporean Keppel FELS, Korean Samsung Heavy Industries and Chinese TSC Offshore may join the project as well. Read more »
