Kazakhstan searches for the new oil export sources

Its likely that Kazakhstan will have to search for the new sources of its oil exports to Europe if oil sanctions are applied against Russia, the Minister of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan, U. Karabalin says. Only the CPC laid via Russia transports over 32 million tons of Kazakh oil, and now they analyze new oil export routes for the redirecting of these volumes. The alternative variants are Azerbaijan and Georgia. The way will pass from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan and then to Georgia and to the Black Sea. Another potential variant is withdrawal of the sanctions against Iran, Y. Tsygush, the analyst of the international financial holding FIBO Group says.

Rosneft has secretly discussed Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline

On November 9th, the Board of Directors of Rosneft held the secret session and did not make public the decisions made. The reason for the secrecy is the discussion of reversing of the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline because its realization could cause serious damage to Russia.
The Baku-Makhachkala- Novorossiysk pipeline transports now 6 million tons of oil. 1.5-2 million tons of Azeri oil was annually supplied via Baku-Makhachkala, and then it was mixed with 4 million tons of oil from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and the Caspian deposits of Lukoil.
