NLMK tests the utility for coal dust injection

NLMK has started hot testing of the utility of coal dust injection to blast furnaces. This high technology was firstly introduced at blast furnace #5 with annual capacity of 2.6 million tons of cast iron. In 2014, they’ll continue the introduction of the technology at the blast furnaces. Under the plan, they’ll equip with such utility blast furnace #4 with annual capacity of 1.8 million tons a year.
