In 2015, the republic of Khakassia increased the mining and shipment of coal. This was reported by the republican Statistics Committee, published on March 2, 2016.
In 2015, the volume of the coal production in the republic amounted to 16.972 million tons, increased by 13% or 1.971 million tons as compared with 2014.
