Russian FAS suspects Rosneft of petrol overpricing in the Moscow region

The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Servicer has suspected Rosneft of petrol overpricing at filling stations under the brand of the company, as well as TNK and BP, the Service reports. The FAS Department in the Moscow region opened a case against subsidiary RN-Moscow. The Service suspects that RN-Moscow maintained monopolistically high prices for petrol of AI-92, AI-95 and AI-98 at filling stations under the brands of Rosneft, TNK and BP in the Moscow region. The Moscow Office of the FAS received numerous complaints of residents about the growth of the prices for fuel, a representative of the FAS explained. The Service didn’t specify during which period Rosneft overpriced. The investigation will take three months, but may be extended for up to six months, said the representative of the FAS.
