In the first 9 months of 2014, coal production on Sakhalin grew by 8% and export by almost 50%

In the first 9 months of 2014, the coal enterprises of the Sakhalin region produced 3 139.6 thousand tons of coal that is by 8.3% more than in the same period last year, the Ministry of Energy and housing and public utilities of the region reported.

The main volume of the production traditionally fell on major coal mining enterprises: Sakhalinugol - almost 2 million tons, Gornyak - 572.9 thousand tons, Uglegorskugol - 386.2 thousand tons and Managing coal company - 134 thousand tons.
