In 2014 the Kemerovo region to increase coal mining to 205 million tons.

In 2014 coal companies in the Kemerovo region intend to increase production to 205 million tons against 203 million in 2013, as well as to put a new mine and two coal pits into operation, the deputy regional governor Andrei Gammershmidt stated at a meeting on the development of the coal industry held on Tuesday.

This year’s plan is to complete the construction of the "Karagaily" mine with capacity of 1.5 million tons and "Taybinsk" and "Kiyzassk" coal pits with capacity of 1.8 and 4.5 million tons respectively.
