Evraz makes access to coal mines more secure

A modern system on the limitation of access to hazardous facilities is introduced at the coal mines of Evraz for the first time in Russia.

Special doors with electromagnetic locks are installed in places of exposure of mine openings, in pithead buildings and the critical infrastructure of mines.

The new for the domestic industry system eliminates the entry of unauthorized persons into the mine and office buildings, helping to reduce injuries and ensuring the safety of property. By the end of 2016, all existing mine openings on land will be equipped with access restrictions. Evraz allocated more than 120 million rubles for the project.
