Coal extraction enterprises of Donetsk People’s Republic intend to expand cooperation with Kiev

​The heads of coal extraction enterprises of the  Donetsk People’s Republic hope to expand the cooperation with the Ukrainian thermal power plants after the meeting in Minsk, head for production issues of the “Shakhterskaya-Glubokaya” mine, I. Orlov, said.

On Wednesday in Minsk another round of negotiations of the contact group on the Ukraine will be held. The delegation from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republic has already come to Minsk. The first meeting of the representatives of sub-groups of the contact group for safety issues, political process, economy and humanitarian aspects of the crisis is planned for May 6th.

“I would like close cooperation in coal supply to the Ukrainian thermal power plants to be the result of operation of the sub-group for economic issues and recovery of objects of the contact group. Meanwhile we execute the obligations by the previously signed contracts. However, sooner or later they will expire. We would like to go on cooperation with the Ukrainian energy companies”, Mr. Orlov said.
