The Ukraine to produce gas from coal

The plant for the alternative production of “blue fuel” is promised to be constructed by 2016.

A decrease in price of Russian gas made the Ukraine think twice about constructing plants for its production from coal. Yesterday, on February 6th,however,a tender for initial project preparation on two such enterprises was announced. It is expected that the construction will start not later than in 2016 and the plants will provide chemical fertilizer manufacturers with raw materials.

As a source in the Ministry of Energy said, construction of at least 3 plants in the Lugansk, Donetsk and Odessa regions in the immediate vicinity of chemical fertilizer manufacturers is intended.
