Oil companies to sell 90% of fuel in Russia

The Ministry of Energy will make oil companies ship 90% of produced gasoline to the domestic market in 2016, the Minister A. Novak said.

He said that there are no strict rules on the shipment to the domestic market now.

The PM D. Medvedev has already ordered the core agencies to work out the idea of the Ministry of Energy with the companies of the Fuel and Energy sector.

Gasoline production and its consumption are not identical, as we consume the volume we produce, CEO of the Russia’s Fuel Union, G. Sergienko, said.

There is a certain part of gasoline which is exported, but it is insignificant.

The issue is connected with making the decision on the extension of Euro-4 class for 2016. If it is not done, about 8 mln tons of this gasoline out of the produced now 38 mln tons of class-4 and lower, will lead to deficit.

Novak said that the Government decided to extend the period of circulation of class-4 fuel.
