Petrol prices in Azerbaijan are not connected with oil prices, the President of SOCAR, R. Abdullaev, said.
According to him, in Azerbaijan petrol prices are set by the Tariff council on the background of the economy of the country and average prices. In Azerbaijan petrol prices in the domestic market were only once higher than in the foreign market. And it lasted for only a month-two. Currently petrol price in Azerbaijan is $0.4 and it is cheaper than in the USA.
