Tatneft plans to launch the 2nd stage of TANECO in 2017

​Tatneft plans to launch the 2nd stage of TANECO in 2017. Oil processing capacities will rise to 14 mln tons a year, CEO of Tatneft, N. Maganov, said.

Having assessed the capacities of the already constructed objects, the President of Tatarstan, R. Minnikhanov, suggested increasing by twice the capacity of TANECO. We have ambitious goals ahead on the growth of the capacity of TANECO up to 14 mln tons a year. It means that almost a third of the extracted in Tatarstan oil will be processed into high-liquidity products, Maganov said. He added that the construction of the 2nd stage of TANECO has already started. I hope we will complete the works before the plan and launch the unit in 2017, Maganov said.

Now TANECO works with the maximum loading. In 2013 the processing capacity reached 115% of the project capacity, on the results of 2015 we plan to process 9 mln tons a year, CEO of Tatneft said. On the results of 2014 TANECO processed about 8.5 mln tons of raw materials.

The construction of TANECO started in 2005. The first stage was launched in 2010.
