Oil refinery of SOCAR to be put in operation ahead of time

An oil processing plant of SOCAR will be put in operation in late 2017. The launch in Q1, 2018 was in plans at first.
“The launch of the oil processing plant STAR by the end of 2017 will contribute to a reduction of the current account deficit of Turkey by $2.5 billion at least,” is said in a statement.
As it is said in a statement by SOCAR, the total value of the project makes up $5.7 billion, of which $3.29 billion will be secured at the expense of credit resources.
