Coking coal extraction in Donetsk republic reached 250 thousand tons a month

​The miners of the Donetsk republic have managed to increase coking coal extraction up to 250 thousand tons a month, E. Polyakov, the acting head of the Department for industrial development strategy at the administration of the head of the republic, said.

According to him, the entire coke production in the Donetsk republic is covered by means of its own coal and surplus is shipped to the Ukrainian consumers. The coke chemicals plants are functioning in the Donetsk republic in Yenakievo, Makeevka and Gorlovka. The following mines extract coal: Zasyadko mine, Scheglovskaya-Glubokaya, Makeevugol and Donetsk coal energy company.

In 2015 the mines of the Donetsk republic extracted over 9 mln tons of coal, which is higher than was planned. In future the Donetsk republic and Lugansk republic intend to reach the extraction level prior to the conflict. In this case the miners of the Donetsk republic will have the necessary volumes of coal.
