Modernization of oil loading system has started at Omsk oil refinery plant

The Omsk oil refinery plant starts a large-scale modernization of the system of oil loading into railway cisterns. The project is realized in the framework of the complex ecological program of the plant. A new system of loading sealing will be implemented at the base #2 from where about 65% of finished oil products is shipped today.

The rack of the sealed loading of oil products with the installation of hydrocarbons steam condensation will replace the open railway rack. It will provide the safety of loading of oil products, will allow to make the production process fully automated and will increase production efficiency. After the reconstruction of the rack the daily average shipment of oil products is planned to grow by 30%.

The total productivity of the rack will increase from 3.3 mln tons to 5.2 mln tons a year. In total annually over 12 mln tons of oil products are shipped from the base #2.

As a result of implementation of the new technology a significant ecological effect will be reached: the planned by the project sealing system will reduce by 96% the emission of oil products steam into the atmosphere. Steam of oil products produced during the loading of gasoline, diesel fuel and jet fuel will be turned into liquid condensate by the technological design of the new system. Liquid condensate will be collected into a special reservoir and will be engaged in the production cycle of the secondary oil processing by means of the flow into crude oil.
