In Jan-Oct the Ukraine reduced coal extraction by 42%

​In Jan-October 2015 the coal mining enterprises of the Ukraine reduced coal extraction by 42.1% against Jan-October 2014 to 33.175 mln tons.

According to the Ministry of Energy and Coal, coking coal export in Jan-October 2015 fell by 54% to 6.76 mln tons, thermal coal- by 38% to 26.411 mln tons.

Coal mining enterprises controlled by the Ministry of Energy and Coal in Jan-October 2015 reduced extraction by 65.4% to 5.598 mln tons, including coking coal by 61.2% to 1.646 mln tons, thermal coal- by 66.9% to 3.951 mln tons.

The mines of the Donetsk region in Jan-October 2015 extracted 11.887 mln tons of coal (-49.4% against Jan-October 2014), Lugansk region – 3.57 mln tons (-78.3%), Dnepropetrovsk region – 15.833 mln tons (+1.3%), Lvov region – 1.672 mln tons (+11.9%), Volynsky region – 205.7 thousand tons (-15.1%).

In 2015 the coal mining enterprises of the Ukraine reduced coal extraction by 22.4% against 2013 to 64.976 mln tons.
