In January 2014, the Kemerovo region extracted 16.5 million tons of coal, by 2.2 million tons more than in January 2013, and by 1.6 million tons less than in December 2013. Coking coal production reduced by 0.7 million tons to 4.6 million tons. Coal dispatch was 17.3 million tons including 9.8 million tons for exports. Production increased by 1.1 million tons at SUEK-Kuzbass, by 0.3 million tons at Yuzhkuzbassugol and by 0.3 million tons at SDS-Ugol. Stored coal reserves are 12 million tons.
