In 2011-2015, about $8.9 billion allocated for the upgrade of petrochemical complex in Belarus

About $8.9 billion of investments were spent for modernization of the petrochemical complex of Belarus in 2011-2015, chairman of the concern Belneftekhim Igor Lyashenko reported.

"In the past five years, a number of major industry projects launched. Large-scale modernization of the main facilities was conducted at Belshina, a complex reconstruction was carried out at the Belarusian gas processing plant, modernization touched Grodno Azot and the Gomel chemical plant. Thanks to the modernization, the Mozyr reinery and Naftan  are in the top ten plants of the former Soviet Union in terms of the level of the light oil products," - said Igor Lyashenko.
