According to contract between Ukrinterenergo and Steel Mont Trading, the Ukraine buys coal from South Africa at the price of $86 per ton.
Under the agreement, the price of one ton of coal is set at the level of $86 per ton. A the same time, the BTU content is 5500 kcal / kg. The contract includes also more specific figures. For example, the Ukraine buys 250 thousand tons of coal to the amount of over $21 million.
If we consider all the costs of transportation, loading and unloading, and storage, one ton of South African coal costs the country $110-112.
