Turkmenbashi oil refinery plant has launched new technological units

The Turkmenbashi oil refinery plant has launched new technological units on the production of high-octane petrol marks meeting the intentional standards.

The necessary for production process components will be extracted at the vacuum  grease oil distillation and processing of liquefied gas.

With the launch of these units due to the more efficient oil processing, an opportunity to increase the volume of oil products output with high added value has appeared.

The production unit is meant for the output of 2 mln tons of grease oil a year, processing of 250 thousand tons of LNG and 230 thousand tons of low-octane light petrol.

1 mln tons of petrol raw materials and LNG (vacuum gasoil), 900 thousand tons of tar used for bitumen production will be annually produced and the quality of the latter will significantly improve.

With the launch of the alkylite and isomerization units an opportunity to annually produce up to 480 thousand tons of A-92, A-95 and A-98petrol additionally will appear.

The consortium of "LG International Corp" and "Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd" will be the general contractor of the modernization worth $534 mln.

The stake of the plant is up to 25% of the volume of industrial products of Turkmenistan.
