Petrol consumption falls in Russia

In 2015, the gasoline consumption in Russia amounted to 35.4 million tons. It fell by 1.3% - this is the first fall in the past 15 years. This was reported by Vygon Consulting.

Such situation wasn’t observed even in the crisis of 2008-2009, analysts say. They predict that in 2016-2017, the motor fuel consumption will continue to decline due to the lack of optimistic economic expectations and the fall in car sales. The expected decline is 3.9% per year.
