In H1, Kuzbass fuel company increased coal production by 20% and decreased sales by 6%

In the first six months of 2013, the Kuzbass fuel company (KTK) – Russian producer of power generating coal – increased the coal production by 20% to 4.89 million tons as compared with the same period of 2012. At the same time, the sales fell by 6% to 4.54 million tons due to growth of competition on the Russian market, the company reports.

The export grew by 3% to 3.14 million tons that is 69% of the total volume of sales. The sales on the domestic market fell by 22% to 1.45 million tons due to growth of competition in the segment of coal supply to Russian generating companies.
